Miss labeled Tv show DVR recording

I am writing to express my frustration regarding a persistent issue with my Xfinity DVR recordings, which I believe stems directly from inaccurate programming guide data provided by Xfinity or Channel 1188 (WHCT2/H&I). Despite multiple attempts to explain this, my concerns have not been adequately understood by your support technicians.
For the past two years or more, I successfully recorded the 80s TV series "Matt Houston" whenever it aired. My DVR performed flawlessly, recording the correct program and labeling it accurately.
The problem began intermittently after "Matt Houston" was no longer part of Channel 1188's regular programming schedule. Here's what's happening:
 * Incorrect Guide Listing: Xfinity's programming guide for Channel 1188 occasionally lists a single, one-time episode of "Matt Houston."
 * Mismatched Recording: When my DVR records this "scheduled Matt Houston episode," the actual show that airs and is recorded is not "Matt Houston." For example, the most recent occurrence resulted in an old western TV show called "Colt 45" being recorded instead.
 * Misleading DVR Label: Crucially, my DVR then mislabels this incorrect recording as "Matt Houston," based on the erroneous information from the programming guide. This makes it impossible to distinguish the correct show from the misrecorded one without playing it.
I have already attempted to convey this issue to your technicians, but the focus consistently shifts to my DVR box as the potential culprit. I want to be absolutely clear: my DVR is not the problem.
Here’s why I am certain this is not a DVR malfunction:
 * My DVR successfully recorded "Matt Houston" with no issues when it was a regularly scheduled program. I also don't see or experience any other shows that I schedule to record having the same problem.
 * My DVR is simply acting on the information it receives. It records what is broadcast and labels it according to the programming guide data provided by Xfinity.
 * The issue is intermittent and tied to specific, one-off instances where the programming guide data for Channel 1188 is demonstrably incorrect, listing "Matt Houston" when a different show is actually airing.
I currently stil have the mislabeled "Colt 45" episode under "Matt Houston" in my recordings. While I understand this specific recording cannot be changed, my primary goal is to prevent future occurrences of incorrect shows being recorded and mislabeled.
Given my detailed explanation, I firmly believe that a technician visit isn't warranted on my DVR box next Monday it will be a waste of time and resources. The core issue lies with Xfinity or Channel 1188's programming schedule data, which is responsible for setting the guide information, not my personal equipment.
I urge you to investigate the accuracy of the programming guide data for Channel 1188 (WHCT2/H&I) to ensure it correctly reflects the shows being broadcast. This is a data integrity problem that needs to be resolved at the source to prevent my DVR from recording and mislabeling programs based on incorrect guide information.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
[Edited: "Personal Information"]

LukeS1973 Thanks for creating a post on our Community Forums. I can understand the frustration with seeing a different show start when labelled as something else. We are able to perform some remote steps to gather a bit more info and provide the feedback for further investigation by our backend teams and the network. We would request to speak in a private area so we can get your account information as well. Please send our team a direct message with your full name and address.
