Milpitas 10G Upgrade

Hi, I have the Gigabit internet service and still only see 40Mbps for the upload. When will Milpitas, CA get Comcast's 10g network upgrade? I am using the Xfinity provided modem with my own router and access points. I'm using 2.5GB between the modem and router.

Thanks,

Matt

The concern is not "Home Security Devices And Equipment" help related........... Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thanks for reaching out to us, to see if your address has been updated to the new next generation https://www.xfinity.com/network upload speeds if you go to this link https://www.xfinity.com/hub/internet/5-year-price-guarantee  and putting your address it will show you the speeds that are available in your area

Hi Orlando. The upload is still at 40mbps for the 1G service thus the 10g/node upgrade hasn’t happened yet. The upgrade was made for San Jose residents I’d just like to know if we’re going to get the upgrade anytime soon in Milpitas.

Thanks,

Matthew

Hello thanks for checking, so if the website is not showing the new next generation upload speeds that means the work hasn't started in your area. This link https://www.xfinity.com/network Has great information on the next generation construction work.

When the work is about to start you will actually get notifications at your primary Comcast e-mail address that they're going to begin working in the area on enhancing the speeds.

That notification will also let you know that you can expect to have service interruptions during that time.
