lost premium channels after cable card pairing
After a lengthy process to get my TIVO paired with a legacy cable card, we got all our channels except for our premium channels. The message is to call our cable card provider. The customer support line says that the software cannot handle cable card anymore. I do see that problems with losing the premium channels after pairing has been an issue for some in the past; some posts were a couple of years ago. I believe a step was missed in bringing all our channels up, but the front desk only encourages us to get a new box because they don't work with cable cards anymore. We have the bundles, the front desk affirmed that we do have the bundles, the XP premier pro+ TP, but we would probably not be getting those back.
Any advice?

Happy Monday user_v6ozbb 👋 I appreciate you coming through to our community for help, and we can defiantly explain things in regard to your cable card. Due to cable cards becoming increasingly obsolete and unsupported, they can no longer access premium channels because they only allow for one-way digital cable channels. Therefore, to view premium channels such as HBO, Showtime, or Starz, a current X1 TV Box would be required.
You may be able to access your subscriptions through any native streaming app outside of your Tivo that allows for you to log in via your Xfinity subscription, but that is wholly dependent on the platform itself. I know it's not ideal for committed cable card users, but the technology simply does not afford certain things to work anymore. Please let us know if you have any questions!
