Lists my WiFi equipment as Thomson DHG546 when I have a Arris G54

When I go to the list device page, it states that my WiFi equipment is Thomson DHG546, when I actually own an Arris G54. My internet consistently drops and I wonder if this could be the issue with compatibility. How can I get my device updated to the equipment that I own?

Good afternoon @user_jeff3. Did you ever have a DHG546 active on your account? If so, when did you switch to the G54?

I have this exact issue and have been trying for a month to get it resolved with Xfinity.

My ARRIS SURFboard G54 is being incorrectly identified by Xfinity's system as a Thomson DHG546 eMTA legacy modem. I have never owned or used a Thomson DHG546. The modem I replaced was an ARRIS SBG8300.

I replaced the SBG8300 after Xfinity's "Check Now" equipment tool recommended upgrading my equipment. Since installing the G54, when I use "Check Now," Xfinity identifies my equipment as a Thomson DHG546 and displays orange warnings that the modem is old and incompatible.

Technical support representatives have told me that their system shows my modem as an ARRIS G54 and that I should disregard what "Check Now" reports. However, the customer-facing Xfinity equipment system repeatedly identifies the same G54 as a Thomson DHG546.

Xfinity support and I have removed the modem from my account and activated it again several times. Each time, it eventually appears as the Thomson DHG546. I have also power-cycled and factory-reset the G54, without correcting the identification.

In addition, my internet performance is now worse than it was with the ARRIS SBG8300 that the G54 replaced.

At this point, I believe this needs to be escalated beyond standard modem activation troubleshooting. Could an Xfinity employee please investigate whether the HFC/CM MAC for my G54 is being incorrectly mapped to the Thomson DHG546 in Xfinity's equipment/provisioning database and verify that the correct configuration/bootfile and service tier are being provisioned to the G54?

I can provide the HFC/CM MAC and any other modem information needed by Direct Message.

I have been an Xfinity customer for 23 years and would very much like to get this resolved. Thank you.
