Line got riped up
Our house previously had Xfinity, but the orange underground service line to our house was ripped up during nearby construction. I need to know whether there is still an active line to the house or if I need a technician and an underground line replacement.”

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Good afternoon, and thank you for reaching out. If there is currently no active Xfinity service at the home, the underground line would not be considered active. In most cases, the underground service line would only need to be repaired or replaced if you are planning to start or reinstall Xfinity service at the property. If you would like to have Xfinity service installed, a technician can be scheduled to evaluate the existing line and determine whether a new underground line needs to be run. If the previous line was damaged or removed during construction, a line replacement may be required before service can be activated. Please let us know if you're looking to start new service at the address, and we'd be happy to help guide you through the next steps. 😊
