LG TV constantly losing IP address

My LG OLED television drops its wireless network connection every day. This requires me to go add it back in and put in a password every time which is a real pain. I understand this is actually something that has been happening for a long time. Is there a solution from Xfinity on how to solve this problem?

Good Morning, @user_csugrw! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums! I am very sorry to hear about the experience with your LG TV, and dropping the connection. Is it only this device or other devices dropping too? Can you share any troubleshooting steps you have completed? Have you attempted anything found here? Please let us know.

@XfinityAdrienne it is specific to two TVs only. All other devices in the house work fine. I have attempted to clear all settings and reset the tvs. That has not worked. I also followed some instructions online on settings on the TVs and nothing helped. I reset the TVs once again back to factory defaults. The only thing I have not tried is setting up my own network in the house instead of using xfinity. Every time it happens, it has lost all IP information. I do not have a way of setting a static IP address for the televisions.

Gotcha, thank you so much for taking the time to share the updates and what you have tried @user_csugrw! Have you attempted to reach out to LG directly to further troubleshooting?

I have not reached out to LG because when I was using broadcom for internet, the problem did not happen.

I do understand completely, and we want to ensure the connection remains stable @user_csugrw! Have you attempted to forget the network completely from the TV's and attempt to reconnect? Do you have 2 bandwidths on your network or just one?

I renamed my 5G and 2.4g networks so they were completely separate and would not look like the other one. The TV will not connect to the 5G Network at all. It only happens at 2.4 ghz. I went through and forgot all networks but it keeps picking up XFINITY networks at other houses as well. Every time I forget them they come back.
