Leaving Xfinity and moving to 5G - for how long?

Things have gotten too expensive for the speed we're getting. In the event we decide to return at a later date, what's the minimum period someone needs to not be an Xfinity customer to qualify as new business to the company and take advantage of a 5 year rate locked introductory plan?

It honestly felt odd speaking to the retention team trying to understand why someone who's demonstrated zero loyalty to them gets the best price, while those who have been with the company for a decade plus arent given at tue very least, the same consideration. Seems counter to the way everything works on the planet. Reward loyalty. Customers who have earned their place among preferred users exist in Hotel and Airline programs, but feels just the opposite here.

Anyway, back to the question around the waiting  period. Not going to switch names to establish a fresh account. We'll wait it out at the address, just curious how long that tends to be.

Thanks!

The concern is not "Community Center" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section,  and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_gnwzjy Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. I hear where you’re coming from, especially after being a longtime customer. In most cases, you’d need to be without Xfinity service for about 90 days to be considered a new customer again, though it can vary by area and current offers. I’m happy to double-check if anything new has popped up on your account before you make a final call. Would you like me to take another look?
