Large Spike in Data Usage

Typically our household uses between 500gb and 700gb per month.  This has been the same for the whole time we have had Xfinity service, which has been since October 2023.  Last month was in line with this too.  However, so far in February it is showing we have used 900gb in 15 days.  There is no way this is correct as we have checked our individual device usage and nothing comes close to adding up to that amount.  We also don't have any suspicious devices connected to our router.  Is there a data logging issue on the part of Xfinity recently?  This just cropped up this month.

I completely understand your concern @user_dp51nw, and I’d be just as surprised if my data usage suddenly doubled overnight without any change in my habits! Since this is your first time seeing a spike, remember that Xfinity offers a One-Time Courtesy Month.

Data usage adds up quickly: streaming in 4K can use 7 GB per hour, while downloading a single game often hits 100 GB. Even when you aren't active, 24/7 cloud backups, security cameras, and smart home devices create a constant "trickle" of data that fills your monthly bucket.

Keep in mind our new Internet plans include unlimited data!

@XfinityQuemekia I appreciate the reply, but we have looked at each device connected and the total doesn't add up to that.  Is there a way I can get a breakdown of data usage by device?  I understand we get a one-time courtesy month, but if the mistake is on Xfinity's end, we shouldn't have to use that benefit.

Edit - It looks like the pricing for the unlimited plan is the same as we are paying now, so will be looking to move to that.
