landline is not working

I ordered my landline 2 weeks ago.  Xfinity was going to switch it from ATT.  My landline is still not working. I have unplugged the router, unplugged the phone yet I still dont have a dial tone and when my friends call the number it says that the number doesn't exist.    I have chatted with Xfinity online 2 separate occassions for 30 mins each and the xfinity reps could not fix my problem.  Please advise.

No. My question is not answered. I still don't have a phone line that works. I tried to reach out to direct message but it just goes in circles with no help, no answer, no fix for my problem. Not helpful at all. Any advice is appreciated.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forum's page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "to" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
