Keeping Comcast.net account after moving overseas...

I am looking at the potential of moving overseas at some later date. I currently am not a Comcast subscriber, but log into my comcast.net email account every day. If I do move overseas, would I be able to keep my comcast.net address, as long as I continue to log into it on a regular basis (every day or so)?

Hey there! Thanks so much for reaching out to us about using your email while overseas! Yes, this is certainly possible as long as the account is accessed once every 90 days. if this does not happen then the email account will be closed and cannot be recovered. Please see our Email FAQs section for more info.

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-email-only says:

Your email account will remain active if you access it using the Xfinity Connect web portal at least once every nine months.

I use third-party applications to check my comcast.net email. From the two examples given, which governs? Or do both, with one overriding the other?

Great question!  You do have to log in to the Xfinity Connect Web Portal once every 90 days but can use third-party applications to access the email otherwise.

I disconnected service in late September. I don't think I've accessed the Web Portal since then. I have, however, accessed my email via third-party applications (such as Thunderbird on PC and Apple Mail on my iOS devices). If this is the case, shouldn't I not have access to my comcast.net email?

@user_ef3246 If you access your Comcast email at least once within the first 90-days, and then at least once every 9-months, you will keep your email, however, I am honestly not 100% sure if that applies to all the third-party email clients, as the official document we have states "must also be accessed using the Xfinity Connect Web Portal", so I just don't want you to lose your email account (since once it is lost we are unable to do anything to get it back). Just in case so to speak, I would recommend still checking it at least once every 9-months by logging into the official Xfinity Connect web portal, located here https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/. You can view the specifics on how to keep your Comcast email after disconnecting by clicking here https://comca.st/3tmYKwk.

@XfinityAlfonso @XfinityChristopher : you are reading the support articles incorrectly:

The requirements in https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-only-faqs and https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-email-only work together:
