Hello, @user_p6a2si! Replacing your gateway often causes smart home devices to lose connection. Here are the quickest ways to get your Alexa, Ring, and smart switches reconnected:

Match Your Old Network Name and Password (Fastest Fix)
If you set up a new Wi-Fi name or password on your new Xfinity Gateway, your smart devices won't know how to connect.

- Open the Xfinity app.

- Go to WiFi > WiFi details > Edit WiFi settings.

- Change the Network Name (SSID) and Password to match exactly what you used on your previous router (including uppercase/lowercase letters and special characters).

- Once saved, give your devices a few minutes to automatically reconnect.

Check 2.4 GHz Compatibility
Most smart devices (like Ring doorbells, smart plugs, and switches) only work on a 2.4 GHz network.

- If your new router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one name, some smart setup apps struggle to pair.

- If you need to re-pair a device, make sure your mobile phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz signal during setup, or temporarily separate/split your Wi-Fi bands in the Xfinity app under WiFi Details > Edit WiFi.

Manually Update Device Connections
If changing the network details back isn't an option:

- Alexa: Open the Alexa app > Devices > select your Echo > Status > Change next to Wi-Fi Network.

- Ring: Open the Ring app > Devices > select your device > Device Health > Reconnect to Wi-Fi or Change Wi-Fi Network.

- Smart Lights/Switches: Put the device into pairing mode (usually by cycling power or holding the reset button) and re-add it through its native app.
