just received a new xb8-t as an upgrade... but i already have an xb8-t

Why should i replace my existing XB8-T wifi gateway if its working perfectly?

Xfinity called my wife and asked if she would like to upgrade to a new Gateway for free.... said sure!  Well the one the send is the exact same model I installed last year or so.  Should I just return it?

(Our current XB*-T is put in Gateway Mode... we only use the cable modem part... have Amazon Mesh system up and running very well)

Thanks for any inputs!!

If your modem is working well for you and you haven't had it for a long stretch of time, you can keep the current modem and send the other back by dropping it off at an Xfinity Store.
