Issues with a Prepaid Shipping Label for Returns

I received an updated TV box and now I am trying to return my old equipment. I went to xfinity.com/returns, entered the serial number on the bottom of the old TV box and a UPS prepaid label was automatically generated. No other questions were asked about the equipment. The problem is that the label shows it is for a 2 lb package with dimensions of 7x5x2 inches. I have no idea how Xfinity came up with these numbers. My old equipment requires a box that is 13x9x6 inches and weighs almost 6 lbs. I first tried the AI Assistant which was useless since it can't handle anything beyond a trouble free return and basically just explains the same things that are already found in the instructions on the how to return equipment page. I spent an hour on the phone with Xfinity customer service, whose only suggestions were either things that I already tried or to use the other return options. They told me to go back to xfinity.com/returns and create another label, which is not an option. Once the label is generated for a piece of equipment, all you can do is print it. You cannot create another label for the same piece of equipment. Even if it was possible, you would think it would still create the same underfunded label since it does not ask for the weight or dimensions of the package. They said maybe the wrong equipment was selected but the items to be returned above the print label button shows the correct serial number of the old equipment. After wasting an hour going back and forth, their best solution was to return it to an Xfinity store. I originally chose the prepaid label because I do not live near either an Xfinity store or a UPS store. I can send out a UPS package locally very easily, but an Xfinity store would be a 2 hour round trip. What can I do and who do I need to contact at Xfinity to get a new UPS prepaid return label that is correct for the actual size and weight of the old equipment?

Oh wow, I am so sorry for the huge runaround you've had to deal with today! I completely get how frustrating it is to spend an hour on the phone and get nowhere, especially when a two-hour drive to a store is out of the question.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a Direct Message:

Ensure you are logged in

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

You can see how to send a direct message here, Direct Message Within The Forum.
