Issues with a moving services [Edit]

I got scammed by someone that was helping me activate my new internet! i had moved homes and they offered to upgrade my speed and get a “free” ipad. i had said no because it sounded sketchy, especially with the accents. A month later, i get two bills for the internet . one of them was for some apartment in a whole different state! i called customer service and had so much trouble trying to cancel it and get my money back .
