Issue with Customer Support Agent (SCAM)
I was experiencing internet issues and had eventually ditch the Xfinity assistant for a live chat with an Agent, whose name I don't remember and don't have. This agent tried to troubleshoot my problems, and when he couldn't figure it out, set up an appointment for me. This is where things get weird. He then offered me a vague free hotspot service. He sent me what looked like a suspicious form asking for my SSN and DOB, and also wanted to send me a form for my payment info, but assured me that I wouldn't have to pay anything for 12 months. Since I hadn't used this chat before I didn't think much of it, but once they asked for my payment info, I knew something was up. My main concern is that this agent has my personal info now!!

@user_i5ifo6 Thanks for adding a post to the community and relying on the chat teams. We know being safe online is a priority and know how important it is to feel confident about any promotions. You can trust the agent offers from Xfinity.com or 1-800-XFINITY. There are promotions that offer free lines of service, and run a soft credit check to qualify. That helps keep our customers safe from fraud. Once approved, the promotion will apply for the whole year as promised.
