Is this normal

Should it be normal for a loyal customer to have service interruptions for days at time every few months or so... ive been with xfinity for years and its got me looking into att and t mobile... my modem is brand new... i auto pay every month... and would be willing to pay more for more reliable services.. it's odd to have to reach out to a community forum for a regular problem and why has the problem been took care of if there is damages to any cables... also when there is these so called outage why is it specific to certain addresses
