Is this legitimate?
Xfinity representative was telling me about deals for Apple Watches and I was asking about the Apple Watch pricing and then they sent me a link that took me to a screen requesting social security and birth date. And said I could safely exit. And when I exited the screen the whole chat and everything disappeared??? Did I just get scammed?? Please help.

Hello user_n49tra. Thank you for reaching out to us on our Xfinity Forums for your concerns with your recent interaction. I'm sorry that the chat disappeared at probably the most crucial time. It's difficult for my to confirm if the chat you were engaged with was a legitimate conversation, however when verifying accounts its possible that you will be able to enter your social through a third party link or the last 4 numbers for your payment. During your interaction where you on the website https://www.xfinity.com/chat/? That is a legitimate support site and I would feel confident to say it is not a scam. You also may have been communicating with us through the Xfinity App on a mobile device, if so, I would also feel confident to say that was not a scam.
Please know that while our chat teams may ask for your personal details like social or last four of your card on file, our team over Xfinity Forums will not request those details from you over this platform.
I would be happy to check if I can access the chat details to confirm 100% if you were engaged with one of our peers and if needed help you with our awesome deals. Please send us a direct message with your name and service address.
