Is there a basic home internet only plan?

My internet bill doubled this month so I asked the Chat assistant. Seems my previous plan was a promo which also included free equipment rental has lapsed. So I asked about a long term plan. We don’t need 600 Mbps. We don’t have a TV thus don’t stream, we don’t play video games online nor do we work from home. We only need to be online for emails, surfing the net and a few hours on YouTube. Is there a plan that does not require us to bundle with a mobile plan? I would like to keep these two services separate as matter of flexibility. I can’t get anywhere with the Chat assistant on the app and there’s no phone number to call someone who can help.

Hey @user_e9qfo2 I'm so sorry you are having a hard time reaching out to us through our other methods. We do have awesome new plans where you can choose 300 or 500 mbps that will also include the modem rental and the unlimited data! We have options for 1 year and 5 years plans as well.

Xfinity Mobile and our Xfinity Internet billing are separate at this time and you are not required to have Xfinity Mobile to have Xfinity Internet. (You are required to have Xfinity Internet for Xfinity Mobile though).

Let's check out your options together. Please send us a direct message with your full name and service address to get started!

  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
