Is the XB8 available or not - I keep getting told conflicting answers

I have called twice, chatted twice, and been to the store twice and I have received 6 different answers.  All I am trying to do is get the XB8 - because, when I "upgraded" to Xfi Complete, the agent told me the XB8 was available and I should get it.  But - he said he couldn't send it to me - I had to go to the store.  So I went to the store and guess what - they said they don't exist - they have 400 XB7's in stock, but no XB8's....This is so frustrating that there isn't an easy way to click on your equipment on the website and specifically see what you have and upgrade.  If the equipment exists, you should be able to upgrade.  If the equipment doesn't exist, it should be clearly stated.  It is almost like they are purposefully messing with us?  Should I just give up for a year and try again later?

It exists, I have one, I signed up for Xfi complete and they had it ready to be picked up in the Xfinity store in a hour…

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi @chugonnn, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity regarding your XB8 concern. XB8's do exist however they are low in stock and also in certain regions provided for Gig internet and up with Xfi complete. It is not a guarantee to receive an XB8 at this time, due to low stock. XB7 can provide the same speeds and service, however, we understand the newer version is in demand. Due to such demand, the stock has not been replenished.

@XfinityAshley Thank you for the prompt response, I appreciate it.  If the XB8 is the same speed and service as the XB7 however, then what is new, different, or better about the XB8?

@XfinityAshley Thank you, is there a way to be sent one when they are available?  Otherwise, do I have to keep checking?  This takes a lot of time as it is difficult to get clear answers.
