Is the upgrade to Yahoo required? If I decline the upgrade will comcast Xfinity still support my comcast email?

I've tried on different days to find the answer from the AI Assistants/chatbots but they don't know the answer so I go round and round with them. I would love a real person to ask this to but I am hoping you can provide the answer.

I would prefer remaining with comcast/xfinity. But want to be assured, and I'd like this in writing if possible, that my email account will remain supported by comcast/Xfinity.

Can you hel?

Hello @user_rf7z7c, thanks for taking the time to leave a post.  Sorry you’ve had such a difficult time getting a clear answer. I understand why you want written reassurance before making a decision about an email account you’ve used for years. The upgrade to Yahoo is completely optional and is not required at this time. If you choose not to migrate, you can continue using your Comcast.net email through Xfinity. The no-cost Yahoo option is simply an upgrade being offered to customers who would like a different platform with enhanced security, additional features, and mobile app access. I have also attached an article on upgrading your comcast.net email experience to Yahoo Mail. Let us know if this helps.
