iPad lie’s

Recently had to use chat about my plan. My most recent chat with an agent I was told they had a great plan that would lower my bill. They will give me an I pad free on them.. and it will lower my bill.

I didn’t want an I pad but they pushed and said it will lower my bill, so I got it I gave them the info they wanted ss number date of birth. I’m hoping I didn’t make a mistake giving them that info but I thought it’s a big company.. hopefully I didn’t get scammed doing that..

i noticed on my account it now says I have a mobile account that I didn’t ask for or wanted.

there’s s going to be a separate bill for the mobile account now on top of my regular cable bill.

the agent totally lied to me about this iPad..they pushed to get me to say ok for it. I’m thinking they get commission from these..

i had to call xfinity and ask to have the mobile line removed and I wanted to return the iPad.  I was sent a return label. I received the iPad this morning from fedex and the box was opened by someone and re taped the iPad box also looked opened. I took it out to make sure nothing was missing or damaged everything was there and had no damage. I took pictures of both boxes.. and will bring it in to FedEx for return.

I just checked my account and the mobile line is still on my account. I’m hoping they remove it from my account once they receive the iPad..

im trying to get in touch with corporate but its hard to find a way to do it. Hopefully an xfinity rep reads this and can help me get in touch with corporate… 

I can’t believe how the chat agent’s lie..

@user_wqg5zj Thank you so much for your post for help with returning your iPad. This is not the experience we want any customer to have, but it looks like you already have the steps in place to resolve the issue. You are correct when you stated the mobile line will still show till the iPad is received back. Once returned and as long as it is in the 14-day return period the line will be canceled automatically once checked in and the refund process will start automatically.

@XfinityAmandaB​ I had this same thing happen to me!  A chat agent told me I would get a new iPad that would cost me nothing but a $40 activation fee, and no change to my bill.  Now my mobile bill is $30 more per month than it should be and I did not sign up for this.  I specifically asked if would I be charged any additional fees and the agent said no (I have the entire transcript).  when I asked to return the iPad, the agent said they could not generate a receipt so take it to the store to return.  When I took it to the store, they told me they could not report the iPad either.  Now that I see this post I think it is a scam to get people to accept this iPad.  I already have one I do not need another, and especially for an extra $30 per month.  I need answers please.  And once again, I have the entire chat.

Same here!!! Xfinity, this is predatory business practices and is going to land you a class action lawsuit.
