Internet speed

Hi I have the gig speed internet with XFINITY. I am consistently getting only 300 mbps to 500 mbps on any device. I would like the newer modem. I have the xb7 and would like a newer version. How do I get one?

With our Gigabit speeds, you're definitely in line to have our latest upgraded modem the XB8, so we'll help make sure you get one in your hands as that can always help you see a noticeable difference in the speeds you're getting 👍

For getting your modem swapped out, you have the option of having us send one to your home directly via UPS, which would take about 3-5 business days to get to you, or you can always stop by an Xfinity office directly to exchange your modem in person! user_hew8p2, hello there. Yes, we can ship one. It would a shipping charge occured on your account. However, if you'd want to avoid the shipping fee, you are able to take your current gateway to your local Xfinity Retail Store and do a free swap on site to take home and activate through your Xfinity application.
