Internet speed

Less than a week ago, Xfinity was doing some work in our neighborhood. They accomplished things within a few hours. Thank you.
Since then, our Download/Upload (Using Xfinity's speed test) is almost 0. Numbers are 150/40. These numbers are way below our plan.
Trying to find someone to talk to, work with is impossible.
How/where can I contact someone?

Hello @user_wally14, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your speed. Have you tried rebooting the modem? Are you wireless or hardwired to the modem when you are having speed issues?

i am also having extreme issues unable to work due to upload speed of less than 1; on personal laptop without vpn download speed is 250+-almost 400 upload below 1 and is a bit lower when on company vpn but upload is 0.  resetting modem has not helped.  i have tried with both hardwire and wireless (literally next to the modem). I have checked all connections, tried the reset etc.   I called in and someone wanted me to change to the gig plan...i just want what i am already paying for to work like it has always worked.

Thanks for reaching out about the upload speed when you are on a VPN, user_x34zxg. I work at home and understand how stressful that would make things. We are happy to further help to get to the root cause of this. I have some questions for you.

What type of devices are you using such as a laptop, MacBook, or PC?

Is the upload speed always slow on the VPN or is it fast sometimes but then start losing speed?

Did the upload speed on VPN work well then stop or has this issue always been present?

Do you have Advanced Security or Advance Security on the go enabled in the Xfinity app?

  1. In the Xfinity app, go to the Security tab.
  2. Select Advanced Security.
  3. Select Advanced Security under Settings.
