Internet speed upgrade
I recently went to being an Internet only customer with the unlimited data option. When I was looking over my account, I stumbled on the edit services screen. I noticed that it is telling me I can get the 1200 speed for $9 cheaper than my current 600 speed plan. It states its no term contract but when I contacted chat support about it they told me that was only for 1 year and the price would increase after a year even though the edit plan screen tells me no term contract. Can someone tell me which is correct please? If I can get the faster speed for cheaper that is a no brainer but I don't want the price to increase after a year or two either.

Hello @user_hb15! Thanks so much for bringing your questions to our Xfinity Community Forums! I'm sure that others may have had similar questions, so I hope this will help them out as well. I'd like to talk with you over our peer-to-peer chat system so I can look over the account fully, but based on how you described this, the plan online is most likely a discount rate with no term agreement. What this means is you get the lower price without having to sign an agreement, however, these types of plans are generally shorter in length or have other differences than our full agreement plans. I'd love to look into your account and help find the best plan for you and your needs.
