Internet speed drooped from 1 Gb to 100mg overnight.

My internet service dropped last night from 1 Gb to 100 Mb.  I can't get phone service insists on restarting modem but does not connect me to an agent to resolve.  Please help.

Have you attempted to just quickly reboot the modem? That typically can remedy connection hiccups. It seems like it might have attempted to process a device update for the modem, those normally occur late night during low traffic periods.
