Internet Service line cut needs repair

2 Xfinity techs have been to my house to repair the service line that was cut by my neighbors contractor. The first said they couldn’t fix it and would be in touch, they weren’t. The 2nd said he would submit a ticket but no further info was given. How long should I expect to be in the dark ages with no internet?
