internet service goes down daily
Xfinity Internet Service goes down multiple times per day, on a daily basis.
Xfinity Chat, Phone Service, and Connect service will not and cannot schedule a service tech appointment.
I have completed all the troubleshooting and reboot modem functions multiple times.
I see that this is a very common complaint on the forums with no resolution.
What is wrong with this company?

I’ve already seen the other useless responses to similar internet daily disruptions. I do not need to go reset my modem for the 100th time. I do not need to check my internet speeds. I do not need to get stuck in some bottomless opaque pit of supposed customer service that puts the onus back on the customer to figure it out and make the effort since Xfinity will not respond with either a technician or customer service rep.
It is predictable as night and day. I expect a canned response to some other multi step consumer based effort that leads to nowhere.

I am experiencing a similar issue. I’ve had this new xFi gateway well over a year now. The speed is amazing. HOWEVER, in the last week or two we might be watching tv or doing something on the internet. The tv won’t let you do anything. Any button you press gives a “you are not connected to the internet “. Gee thanks Sherlock. The first few times I just blew it off as an outage. Long story short, when I looked for an outage xfinity said there wasn’t any in my area.
The iPads and iPhones wouldn’t work UNLESS you turned WIFI off! Then you could use cellular data with apps. Weird right??
After following all the online steps I finally brought the gateway to the xfinity store for replacement. I got it all hooked up and as I’d hoped everything was fine. Yay!!! UNTIL the next afternoon. So I went online texting back and forth with an internet specialist. He tried but was no help. I got the idea xfinity has these folks multitasking several customers at any one time. It could be several minutes before you got a response back.
ANYWAY, my internet went down again today around 3pm. I have a tech scheduled to come out on Friday. I’ll post an update. 😔
