internet price for existing customers?
My elderly father called Comcast on Sunday to ask for a discount on this month’s $250 bill because he wasn’t able to use cable/internet/phone for a full week due to a fallen tree that had taken down Comcast’s wires. The customer service rep gave him a $40 credit and offered to lower his monthly bill by removing some cable channels. He told them which channels to NOT remove, and they promised they’d still be available, but they aren’t now. He’s very upset after calling back and finding out he can only get the removed channels reinstated at a higher price than he was previously paying.
Since he only watches a few channels and has a low income, he now wants to drop cable altogether and use just landline and internet, or just internet. He went to a Comcast store today to inquire about the pricing, and was told just internet would be $109. He said the customer service reps weren’t paying attention to him and they kept dropping things behind the counter as if trying to avoid talking to him, so we’re not sure if this price was accurate.
Could you please confirm what the price would be for a landline and 300 Mbps download/100 Mbps upload speed internet, and what the price of just internet would be?
He’s been a Comcast customer for over 30 years and never had any problems before, so he'd like to stay with Comcast, but he's considering moving to a cheaper competitor at this point.
Thank you!

Good evening @user_sz9sdk. Thank you for taking the time to post about your father's recent experience with trying to lower his bill. That is definitely not the experience we want our customers to have. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name and full address, we can further investigate.
