Internet outrage day 8

Xfinity sent my husband and I our first text in 8 days of outage. My husband’s text said internet would by restored by 10:30 this morning, still waiting. I received a text saying internet restored, it’s not. Then called Xfinity and only option is a record message and message said as soon as possible. What is going on? Doesn’t look like Xfinity has a clue. This is unbelievable.

I find it extremely unprofessional that Xfinity is only now posting this update. Why was this not provided earlier. My area has been cleared of all downed power lines and all trees cleared a week ago. Electricity restored days and days ago. Comcast is stating they have to wait until electricity is back on and area is safe. It’s been safe and power back 6 days ago. So where is Comcast? Still have not seen a single truck. Want answers now.

When severe weather happens, utilities including electricity, water, sewage, and emergency services take priority over internet service providers. This means we must receive the ‘all clear’ from local government before we can go into the area and assess any damage. While you may have power to your home, it is possible that there is still a power failure at the plant providing service to your home, and we are working with local communities to get this taken care of as soon as possible. Continue to use your Xfinity App (https://www.xfinity.com/apps) and the Status Center (https://www.xfinity.com/support/status/) to keep getting updates.

@XfinityChelseaB​ I am having Xfinity outages EVERY DAY since last week.  The storm is gone.  What is going on?  And I cannot get anyone to answer.  This is absolutely ridiculous.

This is such a joke.. I can not wait till there is some other option than the Comcast monoply in my area.
