Internet Outages

Ever since setting up my xfinity wifi with their modem on 6/13/25, we have been having constant internet outages during business hours. This is negatively impacting working from home— we’re getting kicked out in the middle of meetings because the internet suddenly goes on and doesn’t come back right away. Why does this keep happening?

user_0n97qb, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. I know this has to be frustrating when you are trying to work. You can check the Xfinity app for updates and a list of any service interruptions going on in your area. If there is work going on, that should also be listed. Let me know if you have trouble locating any of this and I can help you.

@XfinityAngie​ I am able to locate that information, but I’m unsure why it’s been happening so frequently? It’s frustrating to have to pay full price for the month when we’ve had so many disruptions already. Is there a way to know what is causing the outages so we can prepare ahead of time and plan to work elsewhere? Every time the outage map says it will be “resolved” it still happens again.

@user_0n97qb Great. The Status page will also have a section at the bottom where you can request a credit for any official loss of service. Have you been able to troubleshoot using the Xfinity App?
