Internet goes out every night

So for the past 5 days, my internet and tv go offline around 8 o’clock. When I look at the app they say a technician is doing work in my area and to expect outages. So after a couple of days, it started getting very frustrating because it is the exact time my wife and I sit down to watch tv. I called xfinity and they said they couldn’t connect to my modem, but didn’t see anything  about outages in my area. What can I do!? Every night we are without tv or internet and the next morning everything works great again until around 8pm. What work are they still doing, and why has it been 5 days!? And it says the outage is only my neighborhood, only affecting 1-50 customers. I need help before I just cancel it and switch!

Yeah, mine goes out at 10 pm when I am trying to work, it's also nearly impossible to get someone on the phone.

Routine maintenance can take more than one day (or night) to complete. We run maintenance at night in an effort to impact the least amount of services and customers as possible.

 

That said, our team is online 24 hours a day, and I would recommend reaching out to us as soon as you see this issue arise, so that we can see it from our end as well. Just send us a Private Chat Message, and we can take a closer look.

 

To send us a Private Chat Message, select the message icon in the top right corner and then search for Xfinity support. With our new Xfinity support chat, you do not need to input the name of a person. Just select “Xfinity Support” and you will be able to speak with the next available specialist.

I just don’t get it. The app says a tech is out doing work in our area to make improvements, but every night!? Why just our block and why when I call do they not know anything about it?
