Internet downgrade

I was considering downgrading my internet service level from the 600 Mbps plan to the 100 Mbps plan.

If I make this change and find that it does not meet my needs, can I upgrade to a higher level without penalty? How does this type of change effect my 12-month contract?

Thank you

Hi @user_45a224 , thank you for reaching out to us through our Xfinity Forums Community, and thank you for your patience while awaiting our response. We welcome you to change you service to whichever speed that you find fit for your needs. I can certainly help you with this. Making plan changes with us does not incur fee for breaking contracts. What could incur fees would be if you cancel all your services with us while in a contract. These fees are called Early Termination fees. Each situation is unique, I would be happy to help. Does this help explain?

@XfinityBrianW Thank you for your response. I reviewed the plans available and selected the 300Mbps plan as my new plan. The option to continue the current 300Mbps was not originally available. However, the system processed the order and I received an email confirmation.

The order confirmation did not confirm the terms of my 12-month contract. Can you confirm what the start and end date of the contract is?

Thank you.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to actual Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
