internet 5 year guarantee

I have been a Comcast customer in Florida for almost 20 years; 6 years at my current address.  Last year I upgraded to a 1Gig internet plan.  After one year the discount was reduced.  I am now paying $80/month ($119 - $39), for which the discount will end next January 1.  I saw a promotion on Facebook and checked the Comcast website and see that it is now only $50/month for 5 years, whereas I'll be charged $119.  And it states only for new customers.  I guess that loyal long-term customers don't count.  I live in an area that is also served by Frontier/Verizon which has the same price and 5 year guarantee.  I have trouble justifying staying, and I prefer not to call a customer service rep and go through a long negotiation.

Thanks for posting on our community forums, user_rsf. And for being with us for nearly 20 years. That kind of loyalty truly means a lot. I’m really sorry that you’re feeling overlooked right now. I completely understand how frustrating it is to see new‑customer promotions that don’t apply to long‑time customers, especially when your own discount is nearing its end. It makes sense that you’d want clear, fair options without having to go through a long negotiation. Promotions can vary based on location and account history, and I know that doesn’t make the experience any less disappointing. I’d really like to take a closer look at your account and see what options may be available for you so you’re not facing that $119 rate. Could you please send our team a Direct Message with your name and service address? Our team can take a further look at this issue.
