Info on outage

My xfinity internet has been down for about 6-7 hours now with no info. All the status page has said during this entire time is that “Your xfinity services may be unavailable because power in your area is off. Service will be restored as soon as possible.”

But the power isn’t off and hasn’t even flickered today. How can I get more info on this outage and when I can expect it to be fixed? I have to work from home tomorrow morning, and at this rate I’m concerned about whether service will be restored by then.

I'm sorry to hear that there's a service interruption in your area, @emrengle


There are multiple reasons for services to be offline and even if your power is on at your residence, it's possible that power may not be on in all other areas (like where the node that services your residence is). You can get the most up to date estimations for time of restoral in the My Account app or portal and can also set up text alerts so that you receive a text when there are updates. 


We know that interruptions are worrying and we appreciate your patience while we coordinate with the local utilities in your area to get things back online ASAP!
