Impossible to cancel
I use to enjoy Xfinity services for many years. Today I called them to cancel my services because I am moving to the Philippines, and that is completely reasonable. I explained my situation to the Xfinity representative and they transferred me to another line, then another line, then another line. I was had already spent forty minutes on hold. Finally I was transferred to some Indian call center. The person tried very hard to sell me another subscription, said because I was a premium member I would have to change my subscription to a basic plan before I can cancel my subscription. I said NO I do not have to sign up to a different plan, I am cancelling my services. He became irate and unprofessional and then threatened me to hang up the call. After waiting forty minutes, I obviously did not want to end the call, and I requested to speak to the manager, and after a few more minutes, he returned and said the manager was busy. I was so frustrated I hung up the call. I returned my modem to a nearby Xfinity store, and they gave me no problem. I used to enjoy Xfinity services, but after what I experienced, I would never re-enroll again because I know what to expect. Ive been a good customer to you, why do you send me to some Indian call center where they try to upsell me? That is not ethical, It is not reputable, it is disrespectful, and that Indian man who I spoke to today 8/25/2026 at 10:55 am at 877 645 44495 is a fifth human being, does not deserve a job, and I will never do business with Xfinity again. Shame on you Xfinity. Stop trying to upsell your customers, shame on you. Where are you outsourcing your customer services from? Why don't you employ good Americans who could have done this job better? Whoever took my call that day should be fired. Not just him, but the vendor who employs him as well. There behavior is shameful, and should not represent what Xfinity service is all about. I will never subscribe to Xfinity again.
