Im trying to get service on a new house and the registration system says “The address you entered could not be recognized”

Hello, Im trying to start a new internet service at the new house I am moving to. It is fairly new, (built less than 6 months ago) and I suppose it isn’t in your system yet. Is there anyone I can talk to to register this home and make it available for service. The error message that pops up when I type my address is as follows “The address you entered could not be recognized”.

Concern moved here for greater exposure to actual Comcast employees.

@Mattd99

Are you sure that you can get service at this address?  Are there any neighbors that have Comcast/Xfinity services?

@Again according to https://broadbandnow.com/Florida/Port-Charlotte?zip=33948 , 33948 is 100% covered by xfinity. I think the whole issue is because this house is a new construction that was just recently finished.

@Mattd99 Hello and thanks for taking the time to reach out and for your interest in moving your services to the new home! You reached the right team, and I can assist with this. Can you please reach out through private message (by clicking on the chat icon on the top right of the page) with your first and last name, name on the account if different, and service address?

I no longer work for Comcast.

@ComcastAbbie I just tried to send you a message, but when I go to type your username it doesn’t come up. I’m sure that I am typing it exactly as it appears however it doesn’t pop up. The only names that pop up when I type in “ComcastA” are ComcastAndrea, ComcastAndy, ComcastArlene, ComcastAl, ComcastAriel, ComcastAnthony, and ComcastAlex. Please get back to me on this when you get a chance, thanks.

You need to send to Xfinity Support.

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/peer-to-peer-chat
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
  • - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  • - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
