If I get rid of TV package, keep internet only, THEN use Xfinity Stream app, what CHANNELS do I get on that app?

So I would be cancelling TV package, returning my X1 box and my remote box for the bedroom...I would rely solely on the Xfinity Streaming app and I would be paying only for internet and the equipment I rent.  What channels do you get?

The concern is not "Community Center help" related. Thread moved here to this help section for assistance.

Thank you for reaching out to our forums! I am sorry for the delay in response. Are you looking to disconnect your cable services to reduce the cost of your monthly bill or did you want to keep your cable services and use the Xfinity Stream App to watch all your TV services using your own equipment (such as a Roku or a Smart TV that has the app already downloaded.) The Xfinity Stream app (https://comca.st/3DxrL9R) would need a cable TV package so that you can utilize the service that will allow you to watch live TV as if you had a cable box.

Are you looking to stream TV subscriptions like Netflix, Hulu, etc? I know I like to have all of my options with my services and I wanted to also tell you about our Flex services with only having an internet package.

With Xfinity Flex, you’ll be able to stream more than 10,000 free movies and shows, access premium subscriptions like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO and Showtime, and rent or purchase top movies and shows - all without switching apps or inputs, and with one-stop search and control thanks to our award-winning Xfinity Voice Remote. The first box is absolutely free, and each additional box is only $5.00 (up to 3 boxes total in the household.) This page provides more information: https://comca.st/3xZcLAA for you to review and consider.

You'd also have access to our awesome Peacock app at no charge. Peacock is the newly launched streaming service from NBC Universal. It offers over 15,000 hours of content, with hundreds of television series and movies, as well as compelling live and On Demand content across news, sports, late night, and reality.

Thanks for responding.  I thought if you got Xfinity internet only, and in my case I rent the gateway modem/router and I have unlimited data, that this gives you access to the APP called Xfinity Stream beta.  That on this app you could access some channels, not sure which ones.  A relative of mine has Internet ONLY with Comcast and has this app and gets some channels but I cant remember which and I cant ask him.

I have a TV package now and am considering getting rid of it but need this info first please.

@Libertas There seems to be some confusion, but I think I know where it is coming from. You need to have cable service in order to have access to the Xfinity Stream app. You do not need to have cable service for the Flex Streaming service.

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityHeather  OK, pretty sure my relative had access with only internet but I will check when they get home.  Thanks...

Does the Flex service provide any channels that normally come with a TV package or are they streaming apps only and movie apps, etc?  Can you get any networks like CBS on the Flex?  Not the app that CBS has now called Paramount+ but my local CBS channel etc?
