Identity verification process time

I tried to sign up for internet online but for some reason it couldn’t verify my identity and it told me to go to the store. I went to the store and ended up needing to submit  documents (my ID, proof of previous residence, proof of current residence). I submitted this three or four days ago and I’m trying to figure out how long it takes for them to usually process it. I’m just trying to get some internet connection ASAP since I work from home and currently have no internet at all.

@user_173085 Thank you for taking the time out of your day to reach out to Xfinity here on the Forums! We want to also thank you for choosing Xfinity to be your service provider and we can't wait until you are officially an Xfinity family member!

When you submitted the Documents to the store, they did not communicate how long that would take?

The way they made it sound was that I’d get a response within the next three days but I haven’t.

Did you get any kind of ticket number? Was the account created yet?

I no longer work for Comcast.

Thank you for this!

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address, and ticket number?

To send a "Direct Message" message:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.
