I want to start a new promotional contract to retain pricing, but getting the runaround via live chat.

The triple play promotion contract ended and the plan has gone up by about $80. Looking to get locked into another promotion for internet only gig speed, but it seems I can only do this as a new customer. Not sure retention will be of any help since it seems like the representative I chatted with online was basically able to save me $10 by lowering my internet speeds from 1000mbps to 800 Mbps. That is an absolute no-go for such minimal savings. Will probably just cancel all services and look elsewhere if this can’t be solved.

My current plan they locked me into is $115. I see on the xfinity website as a new or returning customer I can get a promotional gig speed contract for a price of $50/month, which included a $55 term discount as well as a $10 auto pay discount. This price was guaranteed for 3 years.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
