"I want to create my own additonal account at this address"

Ive recently moved into a basement apartment and Ive been trying to get internet service, however the upstairs tenants also use xfinity. Does the option "No, I want to create my own additional account at this address."

still keep the original service? The address however doesnt have a unique identifier even though the unit has its own utilities and coax jack. Its my only good option for internet in my area

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Excellent question, @user_v6z0zi! Thanks for creating a post regarding this service concern. We may have to submit a ticket on your behalf to our Serviceability team in order to make your particular unit serviceable, separately from the main address. Taking a closer look will help us confirm our options :) Could you please send our team a direct message to continue?

To send a direct message:

  • Ensure you are first signed in, then you will see a chat box icon at the top right of your page. Click that or follow this link here: https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
  • From there, click the 'New Message' icon. In the 'To' field, type 'Xfinity Support'.
  • Type your message in the text area that appears at the bottom of the window and hit enter to send. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond.

To expedite your request, we ask that you please include your name and the service address alongside a detailed summary of your request/question. Thank you!
