I signed up for and paid for 1 gig service, but Xfinity will not honor this

Hello,

I signed up for Xfinity 1 gig service, paid the initial fee, and had someone come out to install it. They said they have to run a new line to the house. 

There were several weeks of ice preventing the utility people from running the line. I've now had it installed, but when I go to activate, they won't give me the price I signed up for.

What gives? I'd settle for something slower, but now I can't even get the Peacock deal! This is outrageous!

Should I cancel? This feels like I've been scammed.
