I recently was offered new equipment as an upgrade and did not receive a dvr box

I currently have 2 small boxes abd and a large dvr tv box. I was offered equipment upgrade and was sent 3 Xfinity streaming tv boxes.  Will I still be able to record shows with these boxes or should I plan to keep my old dvr box and return one of the new streaming boxes?
