I need to cancel my service
I spoke with someone in the chat feature last night and they said they would cancel my service and that I would receive an email notification, but I never received a notification and my account says my account is still open and that I owe money for next month. Someone please close my account and clear my balance as I do not wish to use or pay for the service in June!

Good evening, @user_9ynfe5! I am sorry to hear that you are closing your account. We are glad to check on that. It is correct that we send an email when you close your account. It normally shows something along the lines of "We are sorry to see you go". You may need to check the Spam folder for that as they are sent automatically by our system.
When you close your account the final bill with the billing corrections will come a few weeks later via USPS mail. Any billing before that date will still show until the final bill is generated. It is normal to still see the balance until the corrections are completed.
Let's take a look at this together. Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.
Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message
