I have to contact the manufacturer for a router that XFINITY OWNS!?!

I have the XFI router and internet/cable service and have a security issue happening TO ME and I called Xfinity "Customer SERVICE" and was told that I needed to contact the manufacturer of the router myself to find out if there is an issue with THEIR router. WHAT? WHY? Where is this ok?

You mentioned in a different post that you are using your own equipment and were looking for assistance with our security features. If you are referring to these, there is a list of compatible modems located at the bottom, which might be useful in this instance. I'm sorry to hear that you have had such difficulty and we are always here and happy to help.
