I have been denied moving my account paid in full with no outstanding balance, to our new home with an outstanding balance on the location.

I just had the worst customer service i may have ever experienced. The people i spoke with did a good job. the operators were respectful and did their best to be helpful. We have had Xfinity internet for 2 years in California and paid all our bills on time have been satisfied with the internet and mobil service. It took 2 hours of wasted time today to finally talk to 2 operators to find out that Xfinity will NOT transfer our account and internet service to a house we have just purchased in Holyoke Mass because a previous owner is a deadbeat and has left the location with an outstanding balance. WE can not get our service transferred to that location because a previous occupant has a balance on the OLD account at that location. We have just purchased the house and we need internet service. We don't know who this person is or have any connection with them. This is a ridiculous policy to try to make me responsible for someone who i have no idea who they are, who didn't pay their Xfinity account. I have told several people about this policy and each has the same negative reaction as I do. I will tell as many more as i can how dissatisfied i feel.  Please resolve this issue and give me information on how to move my Xfinity internet to my new home without having to be responsible for someone who i don't know for their deadbeat behavior.

You need to take your mortgage or a utility bill that has your name and address on it to your local store.  That will prove that you live there and have no connection to the person that lived there before.  After doing that you should be able to get your service installed and on.
