I am probably moving on after 36 years with Comcast
I have been a Comcast customer since October 1988 and, sadly, I am about to make a switch on May 24 when my current plan contract expires. The primary reason for making the switch is cost as my bundle price will increase 13.5% if I were to extend my contract for another two years. I have had a few conversations with Xfinity customer service representatives about possibly keeping the Internet component of my bundle, but the quotes I have received for Internet is substantially higher than quotes from Verizon for comparable speeds. So, disappointingly, it seems that my only choice is to move on after 36 years.

@user_d1f915 Wow! Thank you so much for being with Xfinity for so long, that's incredible to see! We understand there are times changes need to happen to fit within your budget. If you've taken the time to explore options with other representatives, we have the same promotions they have access to but would more than happy to explore options with you today.

Thanks for trying to find a solution to my situation. Regrettably, none of the options offered are economically feasible so I guess its time to say Au revoir to Xfinity.

So I am circling back on my initial post about possibly moving on from Xfinity on May 24, 2024 when my most recent contract expired. As mentioned, I had been a loyal Comcast/Xfinity customer for over 36 years and I had hoped that the company would try hard to retain me as a customer. Regrettably, that was not the case and I have moved on to other service providers. The company has been a great companion to our family over the years. So when I terminated the relationship on May 24, it was truly a sad day. However, as a longstanding Comcast shareholder, I nevertheless wish the entire organization all the best.
