How to stop getting promotional emails?

I've gone to the Xfinity settings and set all "Marketing Communication Preferences" and "Special Offers and Deals" email settings to off. I am still getting a couple emails a week about about free premium entertainment, deals on phone lines, and cable content. I would really like this to completely stop, and not just have to send it all to junk just in case I get an important email about billing.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know about the trouble you're having with the promotional emails @KPFlavin. We never want it to be difficult to get this completed, whic is why we make it simple. Have you already attempted everything listed in our Manage Your Communications guide? If so, how long has it been since you completed this?

@XfinityJoshuaE​ I went to the link you shared. It only concerns sales calls, promotional mail, and door-to-door solicitations. There is nothing there about emails.

Thanks for the clarification. To confirm, how long have your settings in the Xfinity app had this turned off?

@XfinityJoshuaE​ I turned off all those email notifications after I first got my Xfinity service. Every time I get an email, I go to check the settings and they're all still turned off. So I'm not sure why I'm still getting the emails.

Got it. Without context of how long your account has been open, I can't advise on if you should still be getting them. I do know it can take up to 60 days to stop getting the emails. Has it been this long?

Thanks for the confirmation. In that case, have you already attempted to click on the "Unsubscribe" link on the bottom of the emails?

@XfinityJoshuaE​ Yes, that's what brings me to the page about "Marketing Communication Preferences" and "Special Offers and Deals". I have every email notification for each set to "off".
