How to order an XB8

Hi, we recently upgraded to the 1200 mbps gigabit extra plan with XFi complete. When I got home from the store I realized they had given me the XB7 instead of the newest XB8 Wifi 6E 6ghz unit that was being advertised. I would like to know how to order an XB8 (delivery or in-store pickup) so that I can fully utilize my new bandwidth with all of my 6ghz 6E devices instead of just my one 2.5GbE desktop

Thank you for reaching out today about the XB8! I am also excited about the new release and have been reading all about the new Gateway. The new WiFi 6E gateway will boost capacity in the home with three WiFi bands – 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and a new 6 GHz band. Together the WiFi bands reduce interference and increase bandwidth in the home by three times to support the massive influx of connected devices used by consumers today.

 

That being said the XB8 are mostly on back order and not available in store at this time. We can try to order and ship an XB8 (there may be a fee for shipping) but if the modem is out of stock at the warehouse you would receive another XB7.

I totally get how this is not the best answer or the most desirable, and I am really sorry.
