How to obtain confirmation of settled account?

I have recently cancelled my comcast service.

I want an e-mail sent to me that confirms my service has ended and that I am all paid up.

I have reached out to customer agents via phone/chat and they have told me this is impossible and that customer support does not have email.

In the past I have had multiple services added to my account that i never ordered including a modem i did not have (used my own) Tv packages (i dont have a TV, only internet) so frankly I cannot trust that billing or comcast will get this right and not charge something and cause problems for me down the line once i have forgotten about this account.

How can I get a confirmation that I am settled out of my account?

Hello @user_6fqf3p

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:

  1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon
  2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)
  4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!

Thanks I have sent the DM

I would also like to know for other peoples edification on the public forum why comcast support refuses to send any kind of confirmations of removal of unwanted services, bill corrections, or accounts closures. Any other business i deal with is happy to send me confirmation that my account is up to date, why not comcast.

Seems to me its a way to avoid accountability, because comcast has no problem whatsoever spamming me with emails attempting to sell me products and services.

Thanks!
