How to get rid of this Flex box I don't want

Xfinity shipped me a "free" Flex box that I don't want and won't be using. I was going to throw it up for free on Craigslist but decided to do some research first. The internet told me I must store it somewhere for a year and then return it to Xfinity otherwise I get charged $120. The box had a card in it with return instructions, but when I went to xfinity.com/returns it didn't show any devices that I could return so I couldn't print a shipping label. Also someone said it might mess up my internet plan if I return it early.

How can I get rid of this unwanted box?

Hi there, @user_0bd58b. Thanks for reaching out about the Flex box. The service is free to have, but the box does need to be returned if you are not going to use it to avoid an unreturned equipment charge. I apologize that you are not seeing it listed when you try our online return. We have 2 other options for return. You can drop it off at your local Xfinity store or at any UPS store. UPS will box and ship the equipment back to us at no charge to you. Just tell them, "This goes to Comcast." and they will take care of the rest. You will get a receipt for your records. Once you send it with UPS it can take a couple of weeks to see it fully removed from your account as our warehouse has to scan it back in and then update our systems. Would you be able to use one of those options to return the box?
